Healthy Relationships

Introduction to DBT Skills for Students

Curriculum Overview:

This curriculum introduces Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) skills to students, focusing on emotional regulation, distress tolerance, mindfulness, and interpersonal effectiveness. Through mini-workshops, students will learn practical strategies to manage emotions, navigate social interactions, and cultivate mindfulness in their daily lives.


Note - this is not intended to be therapy in any way shape or form, this is a skills-based curriculum. We suggest everyone get therapy but recognize the shortages in the healthcare system today make that a significant challenge.

This skills-based approach could be thought of as "therapy adjacent", as a way to practice and grow DBT in tandem with therapy.
